Morigenos and giants of the deep sea in Arboretum Park

In mid-May, the Slovenian horticultural park Arboretum Volčji Potok built a unique exhibition "Giants of the deep sea", where you can see more than 10 life-size whale statues – the longest of them measuring almost 25 meters. Morigenos also took park in the preparation of this exhibition. We provided information and interesting facts about each exhibited species that you can find on the information boards besides the sculptures.

In addition, Morigenos will be part of the accompanying program in the park until the autumn interacting with visitors at our creative workshops for children about the sea and dolphins as well as lectures on dolphins along the Slovenian Coast. Children can join us at our creative workshop this weekend, June 24 and 25, from 15 pm to 19 pm in the Indonesian pavilion, right next to the exhibition of marine giants.

Details about our events, which will be free of charge for all park visitors, are available at the Arboretum Park Event Calendar.

Welcome!

The exhibition features life-size sculptures of a fin whale, humpback whale, sperm whale, bottlenose dolphin, striped dolphin, common dolphin, Risso’s dolphin, pilot whale, orca and false orca, and even a whale's heart, brain and caudal fins. The exhibition was made entirely in the Arboretum, led by sculptor Edina-Eda Šćuka.
